What’s Good For Sunstroke?

So, you’ve managed to avoid sunburn this year, but you’re still worried about the sun and what it does to your skin. Many people suffer from sunburn on a regular basis, and there are plenty of products out there designed to help. But there are a few things that are good for sunstroke victims. First of all, we need to clear up one misconception: sunstroke is not a condition that only affects young people. Even middle aged or older people can be affected by the sun and wind!

Whats Good for Sunstroke

Sun stroke can happen to anyone. The main concern is that our skin does not have the ability to withstand too much UV radiation. When exposed to UV radiation for too long, or at the wrong intensity, it damages the cells in our skin. Damaged cells will become thin, stretch out, and fade. This is the beginning stages of an age-related illness called “dry skin syndrome”. Dry skin syndrome often affects those with fair skin or with white, fair hair – the more sunlight we receive, the more damage our skin can take.

So, it’s good to know that UV rays can damage our skin, but it’s not good to think that all UV exposure is bad. Some types of UV rays are actually good for your skin’s health – such as the sun’s radiation. Other types of UV rays are bad, and cause severe problems. To keep your skin healthy, it’s important to know when to stay out of the water and when to stay inside.

Water is a great source of hydration, but only if it is purified. People who live near bodies of salt water, or spend a lot of time in lakes or other bodies of fresh water should be particularly concerned about purity. We’re talking about well water here, which may be contaminated by chemicals like chlorine. Chlorine can cause serious problems with the function of the thyroid gland, so it’s not a good choice for people with a thyroid condition. It is, however, safe for most people.

There are, of course, some excellent choices for purified water. Reverse osmosis water filters are popular choices for high-end home units. But, for the average home, they are wasteful and expensive. In addition, we still aren’t free from the problems of pollution caused by chemical contaminants in our tap water. At the very least, we could do better. That’s why the best solution is a water heater that runs on electricity, like the systems that many rural electricians use.

They save water and lower energy costs, because there is no separate water tank. And, unlike some water heaters, the electricity used isn’t “free”, because it goes to the power plant, through a transmission line. The average household saves about 70% over traditional water heaters. The systems also lower your carbon footprint, because less fossil fuels are consumed. And, since we know that climate change is real, the less we use, the better.

There are numerous types of water heaters, so you can choose one to complement your home. For example, if you have a large family that shares the water heater, you can get a system that has a secondary, smaller hot water tank. This is called a reserve tank, and it doesn’t add any additional weight to your home. There are other options, too. Some water heaters are designed to shut down when the temperature drops below a certain point – so you don’t need to worry about your pool being left icy cold!

Whether you want to use a water heater for the pool or just to reduce your heating costs, it’s good to know what is good for sunstroke protection. With less chemicals in the water, less chlorine, and less evaporation, water heaters are better for the environment than ever before. So take a few minutes now to consider how you’re using your water heater. You might be surprised by the difference!
