Who is Messi?

Who is Messi?

FC Barcelona forward, FC Brazil forward, and World Cup champion, Carlos David, is the most talented young player on the planet, but he is not the only talented young player on the planet. The young Argentinian star forward has arguably the most impressive resume of any player in the world. Just as Leo Messi has a resume that is unmatched on a professional level, young Argentinian star FC Barcelona forward, FC Shaktaroun, has an equally impressive resume. However, the question remains: who is actually better?

FC Barcelona forward, FC Shaktaroun, is making waves in South America after making his debut for the club last season. He has impressed the coaching staff at Barca with his goalscoring abilities and many people are tipping him to become the next Lionel Messi. FC Barcelona coach, Pep Guardiola, was quoted as saying: “Cesar is a natural goalscorer. He’s a real athlete and a good young player”.

But who is actually behind FCB’s young lionel messi? We all know Leo Messi, the current Barcelona forward and Argentinian national team captain is a huge name in the game. But did you know that argentines are known to be a lot more talented than most people give them credit score for? FC Barcelona striker, and goalkeeper, Cesc Fabregas, is actually an argentine, which was recently confirmed by sports daily, Marca. This is the first time that the name of Cesc Fabregas has been printed on the sporting world. Leo and Cesc have a lot in common; both are technically brilliant, intelligent and goal-orientated.

It seems that FC Barcelona forwards are all about scoring goals, scoring several goals in a game. Leo has scored twice against Real Madrid, once at the Camp Nou Stadium, and once away at the San Siro. Although he is not named in the starting line-up for this weekend’s clash with Real Madrid, it is highly likely that he will start against the Blues. Leo has impressed the coach with his performances, earning himself a spot in the starting line-up, and he has also been given rave reviews by his coach.

Who is Messi? The name of FC Barcelona forward, and son of FC Barcelona vice-captain, Lionel Messi, is certainly a big blow to Manchester United fans. However, Leo is not alone, as many other argentina players are making their debut this season, such as youngster David Beckham, who is just as exciting on the football pitch as his father.

One of the most interesting characteristics about Leo, or rather his character, is that he speaks English perfectly, even if he isn’t fluent. This may come as a surprise to some people, especially those who haven’t been living in Spain for very long. He speaks the language fluently, and not in a rushed style, which is why many supporters have expressed surprise that he is able to speak English – not as a child, but now as an adult. Indeed, many of the supporters who travelled to watch Leo in action last weekend were surprised to see that he was able to communicate in the language that he was studying. In fact, the Barcelona supporters were so impressed with him, that they held a minute of silence in homage to the youngster, and his passion for the Spanish national team.

So, who is Messi? In reality, he is much more than a great player. Like David Beckham, he represents a new breed of player, one who is not afraid to speak English, or to receive an award in the English language. Furthermore, like David Beckham, he is looking to break through in the field, and not just score goals.

Looking at the team roster, you would be surprised to see how impressive the attacking quartet is. Pele, David Beckham, and Leo Messi are all in their prime, and if they stay fit this year’s World Cup team could well feature as title contenders. So, who is Messi, and how did he get to where he is today?
